About 2021-01-25T13:45:21+00:00

Qualified, Passionate & Committed

I am experienced in both ‘Talking Therapies’* and ‘Play & Creative Therapies’** which means I can use a variety of methods and techniques to help you resolve the worries that life is causing you, your child or your family.

My main way of working, with any age or group, is by using play and creative methods. This engages you in a more interesting and often fun way to help unlock the feelings that you have but may not understand.  It also means you don’t have to use words that you may not have to explain feelings and thoughts when we first start.

I am passionate and committed to my work which includes medically challenged children, neurologically challenged children and most issues in between.  I have wonderful colleagues who can also assist if I am unavailable to do so.

I am on the PTUK Register of Play and Creative Arts accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). You can be assured that I carry out my practice to the highest level to maintain my registration. I work in varied environments like primary and secondary schools, paediatric hospital teams, social services, child services charities and privately. I can offer experience, understanding and resolution of the difficulties children, teenagers or yourself can be facing emotionally in life.

*Talking Therapies

Talking therapies involve talking to someone trained to help you with your negative feelings.  You will be thinking about your thoughts and feelings and trying to articulate them to find a resolution.  More information is available about these ways to help yourself here.

**Play & Creative Therapy

Play and creative therapy uses a variety of play and creative arts techniques rather than talking to help you work through negative feeling.
